Red Frill Salad w/ Sesame Dressing Recipe

A delicious salad to make with red frill!

Ingredients

  • Red Frill Mustard
  • Avocado
  • Pistachios
  • Tangerine (any vaireity)
  • Optional
  • Frisée
  • Chicories
  • Other Greens
  • 1/4 Cup Toasted Sesame Oil
  • 2 Tbsp. Rice Vinegar
  • 3 Tsp. Tamari
  • 1 Tsp. Maple Syrup
  • 1 Tangerine (juiced)
  • 2 Tbsp. Sesame Seeds

Instructions

  1. Start with flavoring the pistachios. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Toss some pistachios with a little oil. Sprinkle them with seasonings that you like. Bake them for a short time, they’ll start to brown, and then it’s ready.
  2. In a salad bowl, mix red frill mustard with pieces of tangerines and avocado. You can also add some frisee, chicories, or other greens.
  3. Pour the dressing on top and mix, then add pistachios.
  4. Add garnishes like radish on top.
Dressing
  1. Freshly toast the sesame seeds by heating a pan on medium heat, and shaking the seeds around the pan until they are golden, warm, and smell yummy.
  2. Mix salad dressing ingredients in mason jar, and shake well. Taste it to see if you need more tangerine juice. You can also start with just 1 Tbsp. of rice vinegar and go from there.
