Conehead Cabbage Salad

Conehead cabbage is a more delicate cabbage variety in flavor and texture. Here's a simple and tasty salad!

Ingredients

Conehead Cabbage Salad
  • 1 Cabbage, Cut in half and shredded. Pull the outer leaves off of the cabbage. True organic cabbage will often be messy on the outside in certain times of the season.
  • Chopped Almonds
  • 2 or 3 Radish
  • Fresh Dill
  • Olive Oil
  • 1 Tablespoon of Lemon or Lime Juice
  • 1 Tablespoon of Dijon Mustard
  • Sea Salt and Chili Flakes

Instructions

  1. Place shredded cabbage in a bowl, and drizzle olive oil over the greens. Sprinkle some sea salt, and massage the cabbage. Add some fresh dill and mix.
  2. Thinly slice radishes, and place them in a small bowl. Squeeze juice from lemon or lime, and sprinkle sea salt. Let the radishes soak in the juice.
  3. Mix mustard and olive oil together in a little cup, then pour and mix it into the cabbage.
  4. Chop the almonds and sauté them in olive oil. Once they start to get hot and brown, you can also sprinkle on your favorite seasoning. It's fun to use chili powder, or paprika.
  5. Place the radishes in the bowl of cabbage.
  6. Then pour the hot almonds over the top of the cabbage.
  7. Place fresh dill on top, and add a little more salt. Sprinkle on a little red chili flakes if desired.
