This recipe is so delicious and flavorful, it's like having a healthier type of popcorn. It works best with baby casper kale because it's smaller and more curly. You can use large leaf casper kale as well and break them in pieces.
Ingredients
Buttered Casper Kale
- 1/4 lb Baby Casper Kale, you can use more if you have it
- 2 Tablespoons Raw Unsalted Butter
- Half a Lemon or Lime
- Sea Salt
- Smoked Paprika
- Nutritional Yeast
Instructions
Buttered Casper Kale
- Use a pan that's big enough to spread out the kale leaves.
- Melt two tablespoons of butter. At about medium heat. You want it to be hot enough to make the kale crispy, but not so hot the butter turns brown too soon. A little is ok, it will likely brown some once finished.
- Place the kale leaves on the pan, and once one side is crispy around the edges, turn the leaves over and cook the other side. Once the kale is cooked and crispy on the outside, pour the leaves on a plate.
- Squeeze a little lemon or lime juice on top. Then sprinkle on some sea salt, smoked paprika, and nutritional yeast. Use what you like, think of it like popcorn, but healthier and easier on your teeth!
